Intermission

just in case you forgot during the last commercial break/text message – the best things in life are free – and so is the joy – it’s stated clearly in movies like it’s a wonderful life and scent of a woman and eternal sunshine… and where ever else you CHOOSE to find it – so live not as though you have only a day left, make it a week – just don’t let it be business as usual =]

A Verse From An Olde Hymn

a verse from an old hymn

Drop Thy still dews of quietness,
Till all our strivings cease;
Take from our souls the strain and stress,
And let our ordered lives confess
The beauty of Thy peace.

the thing is, to have peace, it is through your life that you must create and ‘drop’ these “still dews” – one of your infinite purposes is work out what your still dews are, get to making them manifest as you see fit, and then dropping, hurling, mashing, etc… as seems most whatever

still dews
– striving-free-zone
– stress-free
– pain-free
– peace -> beautiful
– gratitude

and we still have dues to pay…

and it goes something like this

Twenty Percent Off Rounded Down

i’d like to propose the following rule on following foods and other input devices that enable the human character

“20% off rounded down, if you buy 2 of x (or its equivalant doubled i.e. 2x)”

[you should be able to tell the difference]

where is x one of

– chocolate
– polony (or its equivalent)
– sliced cheese
– chicken and vegetable pasties
– whiskey
– hmmmmm
– [to be continued]

[whatever the input device, it will only apply where 2 is a valid coefficient - i'll explain that later]

if you can infer ‘validity’, you can ponder your own selections and (if so inclined), publish them on the thingy.

The Primary Message of All Religions

Religions
are
such
complex
beasts,
not
unlike
economies.
They
both
require
complex analysis,
and,
if
we
include
the
mathematical
genre,
complex numbers,
complex differential equations,
which
tend
to
involve the
square
root
of
negative
one,
functions
where
Fourier
transforms
into
a
transcendental

[to be continued]

i’m missing the derby! derby?

NOTES/DRIVEL

a song sung is sung as a song
an old song is mood, lost moments, lost connections, a willing bridger of generation gaps, a pearl of great price – so please do sing

homeless/disenchanted/falling/starving/et al -> apology++

homeless to help themselves by appearing in their own entertainment videos – humanitarian people of the street to help produce these videos and get them on youtube, and maybe embrace a frugal-yet-happy existence – so look after your homeless for they are your brothers and sisters – it ain’t that too hard to do

this approach can be applied to any humanitarian endeavour, any endeavour that lifts the value of humanity

poor people,
we love the joy of chidren
we love to hear children sing
please sing us a song you like
or a song your parents like
we would love to hear from you.
this will help us love you truly
cheers

again here we rely on the help of the average soul on the street who is getting tired of the (so-callled) way up.

where did i put my other fingers?

still waiting for artists to resume their beggar status
i said i’m pleased to meet you. i always thought you were a dream ~ LN
you are either an implementation of your past, or a promise it made
feed the poor

the one-armed lesbian dwarf thrower

[Mary Magdala and Jesus the Nazerene sit under a tree, sharing a joint]

Maggie: What was with that quip you gave to Judah, about the poor?
Joshua: What quip?
Mary: You know, “the poor you have with you always”.
Yeshua: Hmmmm? Good god! Did I say that?
Magdala: Yep.
Jesus: Holy great grandmother’s chest hair! I’m fucked!
Magdala: What!?!
Chippie: I’ve just circumvented my main agenda! Why oh why are you so good with feet?
Maggie: You’ve lost me.
bar-?: That foot rub beguiled me. My whole body was in heaven!
Maria: I am well glad. :) Yet still confused :
Jeshua: Ahh bugger it! You are a giver, they are all takers. God knows what a mess they will make of it.
Magdala: Wha?
Jesus: You like Judah. :) I can tell.
Mary: I used to. Not anymore.
Joshua: You should. He’s wiser than you think.
Maria: I don’t trust him.
bar-?: Trust! Bah humbug! Hey, did you hear the one about the one-armed lesbian dwarf thrower?
Magdala: What?
Jesus: He was gay. ;-)

to the entities of 2111

it is 12/2010 [julian] and it is most certain that shit is on its way – in the vague assurance that we get that millenium [sp], you will find yourself in similar (though more evolved hehe) peril – all i can say is we dialogued about it a lot but their was this thing called the economy that beguiled us – we left so many behind to miss their opportunity of life abundant – oh we found out soon enough but by that time we were MIA – just masks and escapes and bitterness and whining – so we passed on all the best stuff tucked away and still sadly unresponsive to dna

still if you are in peril and would take guidance – adore your parents and your children – sin is an illusion – forgive and remember at their best, your enemies – and take the piss out of everything – and sing – hell yeah sing

[he|she|otherwise] did not know

He did not know – at 21, most don’t – so he let it be. Seasons? What are they anyway? A cold snap; winter approaches. The old know, but the young – those curious naysayers – persisting in rebellion, in experimentation, in evolving, in defying their fault-ridden mentors. He did not know that this bronzing sun would wane. He was the moment and he did not expect the change. And he was in no way prepared for illness.

He did not know that thirty years on, that itch in his lungs would still be coughing up advice.

Somewhere near Canberra. Some intersection – some traveller’s decision-point. It was dark, it was cold, it was real, it was wonderful. The damage began. Why had he sent the tent home? He had not had to use it for some time. So why carry it? Like any error of judgement, it made sense. He had not yet made sense of mistakes.

He was decades away from enjoying them.

[with apologies to politicus incorrectus - i mean how much shit can a pronoun cause?]

if you want to make a difference

if you want to make a difference in life, the universe, everything…

  1. stop believing the economy is more important than the people
  2. realize the economy is the rich
  3. tax hike the rich
  4. stop selling out to your children
  5. stop trying to fix the cure, and fix the problem
  6. get off the greasy pole
  7. become downwardly-mobile
  8. see the beauty in the small
  9. comfort the poor
  10. find what matters to you
  11. throw your gadgets away
  12. have a happy childhood
  13. and stop whining
