Are you Susceptible to Suggestion?

This is from way back. Imagine you are throwing a ball back and forth between someone. Imagine the ball is thrown into the street and you run out to fetch it. Imagine there is a car coming.

Describe the ball. Describe the car. Nothing else.

Suppose You Were a Handelbar?

Suppose you were a Handelbar (notice deliberate mispelling)? Like a handlebar on a bike, or a swing, or a plane, or a trapeze, or a crutch, or a mouse, or a …, or a gavel, or a bow, or a saucepan, or a safe, or a blood pressure device, or a hand, …, or a guitar, or a rung on a ladder, or a suitcase, …? What sort of Handelbar would you be?

What sort of story could you tell? What sort of song could you sing? What sort of creature could you become? What sort of you could you acknowledge?

Well, you could explore your Myer-Briggs score, or a Tarot Reading, or take a Color-Test, or by any other means you devise? I hope you enjoy the connections you make, for a Handelbar is a very much a connecting thing.

Happy Trails =]

PS. And do give your devices and gadgets a rest! There are other senses in need of attention, if any drift you get. =]

PSS. the tarot url is http://www.facade.com/tarot/ if the tarot link dont work, i’ve lost interest =]

PSSS. I’m halfway through re-reading Tom Robbins book Jitterbug Perfume. Well that explains everything!!!

ADDENDA:
connections are made to be broken
connections are broken to be made and re-made

PS. I’m watching five cats, high on catnip, exploring this conundrum, while playing handelbar. =]

Why I Like Gary Glitter

I like Gary Glitter because his voice was to me one of the most mesmering sounds to hit my ears at that point in my life. He caused me to look away from Elvis Presley! The voice, plus that that thumping Glitter sound and all the chanting. I was hooked.

In his voice there seemed to be this Elvis Presley vs James Brown battle going on. I have listened to a lot of male vocalists as one does when one is looking for his sound. His is right up there for me.

He did some really great covers and these re-interpretations are well worth a listen – ‘To Know You Is To Love You’ and Richie Valen’s ‘Donna’ to name but two.

To a male vocalist, he’s a worthy trainer. Listen: Gary Glitter – Donna

PS. To (would-be) musicians. Unless you listen beyond your cultural clique, to at least as far back as two generations, you wont have much to offer. Sorry. It’ll just be more of the same.

PS. To Gary Glitter haters: Stop projecting, go sponsor a child, and get a life. Troll!

Intermission

just in case you forgot during the last commercial break/text message – the best things in life are free – and so is the joy – it’s stated clearly in movies like it’s a wonderful life and scent of a woman and eternal sunshine… and where ever else you CHOOSE to find it – so live not as though you have only a day left, make it a week – just don’t let it be business as usual =]

A Verse From An Olde Hymn

a verse from an old hymn

Drop Thy still dews of quietness,
Till all our strivings cease;
Take from our souls the strain and stress,
And let our ordered lives confess
The beauty of Thy peace.

the thing is, to have peace, it is through your life that you must create and ‘drop’ these “still dews” – one of your infinite purposes is work out what your still dews are, get to making them manifest as you see fit, and then dropping, hurling, mashing, etc… as seems most whatever

still dews
– striving-free-zone
– stress-free
– pain-free
– peace -> beautiful
– gratitude

and we still have dues to pay…

and it goes something like this

Twenty Percent Off Rounded Down

i’d like to propose the following rule on following foods and other input devices that enable the human character

“20% off rounded down, if you buy 2 of x (or its equivalant doubled i.e. 2x)”

[you should be able to tell the difference]

where is x one of

– chocolate
– polony (or its equivalent)
– sliced cheese
– chicken and vegetable pasties
– whiskey
– hmmmmm
– [to be continued]

[whatever the input device, it will only apply where 2 is a valid coefficient - i'll explain that later]

if you can infer ‘validity’, you can ponder your own selections and (if so inclined), publish them on the thingy.

The Primary Message of All Religions

Religions
are
such
complex
beasts,
not
unlike
economies.
They
both
require
complex analysis,
and,
if
we
include
the
mathematical
genre,
complex numbers,
complex differential equations,
which
tend
to
involve the
square
root
of
negative
one,
functions
where
Fourier
transforms
into
a
transcendental

[to be continued]

i’m missing the derby! derby?

NOTES/DRIVEL

a song sung is sung as a song
an old song is mood, lost moments, lost connections, a willing bridger of generation gaps, a pearl of great price – so please do sing

homeless/disenchanted/falling/starving/et al -> apology++

homeless to help themselves by appearing in their own entertainment videos – humanitarian people of the street to help produce these videos and get them on youtube, and maybe embrace a frugal-yet-happy existence – so look after your homeless for they are your brothers and sisters – it ain’t that too hard to do

this approach can be applied to any humanitarian endeavour, any endeavour that lifts the value of humanity

poor people,
we love the joy of chidren
we love to hear children sing
please sing us a song you like
or a song your parents like
we would love to hear from you.
this will help us love you truly
cheers

again here we rely on the help of the average soul on the street who is getting tired of the (so-callled) way up.

where did i put my other fingers?

still waiting for artists to resume their beggar status
i said i’m pleased to meet you. i always thought you were a dream ~ LN
you are either an implementation of your past, or a promise it made
feed the poor
